Privacy Policy

1. What data we collect

None. PromptForge does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data externally. There are no accounts, no sign-ins, and no data ever leaves your device.

2. Local storage only

The extension uses chrome.storage.local to store your settings and saved prompt history. This data is stored exclusively on your device, sandboxed to this extension, and is never transmitted anywhere.

3. What is stored locally

The following information may be saved to your device's local extension storage:

• Settings — enabled state, word threshold, framework preferences
• Saved prompt pairs — original + enhanced prompts, tagged with framework and site
• Prompt history — up to 500 entries, deletable at any time from the History tab

4. Network requests

PromptForge makes zero external network requests. The only network activity that occurs when using PromptForge is your own conversation with ChatGPT or Claude, which is governed by those services' own privacy policies.

5. Permissions explained

• storage — saves your settings and prompt history locally on your device
• activeTab — reads the current tab to detect the chat input field
• scripting — injects the enhancement modal into ChatGPT and Claude pages

No other permissions are requested. PromptForge requests the minimum permissions necessary to function.

6. Third-party services

PromptForge does not use any analytics, crash reporting, or third-party SDKs. No data is sent to JTC Technologies Group or any third party.

7. Children's privacy

This extension is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any information from children.

8. Changes to this policy

Any material changes will be reflected in an updated version of this page, with the date at the top revised accordingly. Continued use of the extension after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
